And they weren’t alone. Most of the companies that qualified for this year’s Fast 50 saw dramatic growth during the upheaval of 2020. The top three companies posted three-year growth rates averaging around 250%.
Columbus Business First this week is revealing the 50 companies that posted the best growth rates from 2018 through 2020. They’re presented below in alphabetical order.
The three fastest-growing companies in Central Ohio did not let last year slow them down, with each more than doubling their revenue from pre-pandemic 2019.
Next month, we’ reveal their rankings along with their annual revenue and growth rates. That’ll happen first at our Fast 50 Awards Celebration, a luncheon on Wednesday, Oct. 20, at the Hyatt Regency Columbus.

To make the Fast 50, companies have to be for-profit and privately held, with at east $1 million in annual revenue in one of the past three years. Nominated companies share their financial information directly with GBQ Partners, who calculates our annual Fast 50 based on the highest growth rates.
This year marks the 26th anniversary of Columbus Business First’s Fast 50 Awards.
