Employee Spotlight: Jenny Mills
My career counselor introduced me to the company. I used to work as a cold caller selling retirement plans. I learned from this opportunity how to effectively save money and basics of economics life skills I still use to this day. I was able to help educate others on retirement plans. The skills I was able to really hone were my abilities to be patient and understanding.
Employee Spotlight: Kimberly Young
I worked my way up to Supervisor within a year, then became dual-trained as a Trainer. I took the leap into virtual contracts as a Supervisor in April of 2021 and was recently promoted to Operations Manager in September 2021. What I thought was a temporary position turned into my career, and I would not change a thing.

I have more than 18 years of education and experience combined in the fields of Customer Service, Accounting, Executive Management, Talent Acquisition, and Recruiting which has allowed me to contribute to my current role as well as previous roles. Being a part of diverse communities and teams has allowed me to understand what it takes to support such industries, clients, and customers.

Pearl’s Military and Family Life Counselors Enjoy a Time to Connect
Operations would like to highlight the Military and Family Life Counseling Contact or MFLC project as the June Operations Project Spotlight! This is a unique project in that the employees are not just Call Center Representatives, but professional Counselors. The Counselors handle inbound calls and provide confidential non-medical counseling services to military service members and their families, through the Military and Family Life Counselor (MFLC) program.

It was a very eventful month of May for the employees in Winchester, KY. Below is just a few of the events that both the on-site and virtual employees took part in.
Pearl Participated in Central Ohio’s Field of Heroes
Many celebrated the long Memorial Day weekend with barbecues and family get-togethers, but for Pearl’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Jim Caldwell, Memorial Day is so much more than a chance to kick-off the summer months. Jim played a major part in this year’s Field of Heroes in Westerville, Ohio representing Pearl Interactive Network as a Presenting (“Primary”) Patron in the 14th annual Field of Heroes.
The Do’s and Don’ts of Equipment for Employees Working Remotely
The work from home environment has a lot of positives for the employees including the flexibility to finish your tasks, but what about ensuring the proper use of the provided equipment? Your workstation is where you put all your energy when working remotely and the equipment is the key factor to perform your job duties, so it is important to maintain it and keep it safe.
Workforce Development CELEBRATES PRIDE w/ DirectEmployers!
June is Pride Month, a time to celebrate LGBTQIA+ culture and elevate the voices of individuals living within the LGBTQIA+ community. In honor of this celebration, the Talent Acquisition team will participate in a variety of activities that have been compiled and provided through our partner, by top resources to help successfully recruit and hire a more diverse and inclusive workforce.
Celebrating Juneteenth
Juneteenth (Juneteenth National Independence Day) commemorates the emancipation of the enslaved African Americans and is often observed for celebrating African American culture. Juneteenth is celebrated annually on June 19. It is also called Jubilee Day, Emancipation Day, Freedom Day, and Black Independence Day.
PNC Events
Pearl and PNC Bank will be taking a short break from the financial fitness workshops for Pearl employees, but do not fear, the workshops will be back later this year. Watch for updates in future newsletters as well as in the Featured Content within Paycom Learning.
