PearlFit! Pearl Interactive Network’s Health and Wellness Fair – A Huge Success!

Pearl Interactive Network’s Winchester, KY site held a Health and Wellness Fair, connecting employees with area vendors and organizations who provide nutrition, exercise, and general health information and services. Fourteen vendors from the community participated on Thursday, June 8th by bringing samples, performing tests, and answering health and wellness questions.

Brenda Wingert, site director for Pearl, said she wanted to hold the event to get people talking about healthy lifestyle changes. “We have an initiative here we call PearlFit, where we encourage wellness activities,” Wingert said, “a lot of our employees are participating in activities to be more active and improve their health, so we wanted to provide a method for them to learn from the experts at the great organizations we have in Winchester.”

Representatives from Clark Regional Medical Center, the American Heart Association, Clark County Health Department, First Care Urgent Care, Clark County Community Services, KORT Physical Therapy, the Clark County Fire Department, Hospice East, 211, Get Fit Athletic Club, Fusion Fitness, GNC, MetLife, and United Healthcare attended the event.

“We had a great response from our employees who loved having these places come to them,” Wingert said. “We’re eagerly anticipating our next PearlFit events.”
