For Keith Bentley, helping others seems to be part of his DNA. During active duty in the Kentucky Army National Guard, he was part of the disaster relief team to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina. He was also called upon by his home state to assist in various disaster relief efforts. And, during the 6 years he spent in the National Guard, he was part of a team that helped build a road in Nogales, along the Arizona/Mexico border.
Bentley’s military background made him a perfect fit for Pearl Interactive Network. As contact center supervisor, he manages a staff of 15-25 customer service representatives. He coaches his team and helps them in their professional development.
“I love helping my staff to be better agents,” he said. “I enjoy knowing that I’ve helped improve their careers.”
Bentley started working at Pearl as a supervisor in November, 2013. Prior to that he was a correctional sergeant at Kentucky Department of Corrections for 7 years. After he and his wife had a baby in 2013, they wanted to move back to the area to be closer to family. He found his job at Pearl through a friend, who told him about the supervisor position available in the Winchester, Kentucky facility. He intends to stay at Pearl, and hopes to advance in his career – ultimately as a director or possibly in a higher position.
“This company does help veterans and disabled veterans,” he said. “This is the best job I ever had, and I’m glad to be part of a company whose mission is oriented towards veterans.”
